Military second thoughts?

Ok Im 17 and I was planning on doing DEP for the Army. I want to be Infantry, but my parents said they don't want me too, and my recruiter doesn't think Im ready. I started getting pissed infront of my parents and my recruiter and started arguing back, getting mad. My parents told me that wasn't mature, which I agree, it wasn't. Myself, Im starting to feel like Im not sure enough for the military yet. I haven't told my parents or my recruiter but, I'm not sure If Im ready to be in it. Im not sworn in, I did MEPS though, but I feel like I wasted my recruiters time, in the last 3 weeks and the year talking to him at school. Im not sure what to do, do you think I should go and join now or wait a year?
