Despite the fact that Susan turned her back on Narnia, why is it that so many Narnia fans still adore Susan?

narnia is one of my fav stories.i guess i just accept the story the way it is.there are so many things to think about in these books that i didn't really think about susan after they explained she was gone.the fact that she turned her back on narnia is worse than edmund.he made amends
