Is Islam closer to Judaism than Christianity?

We all know that both Islam and Christianity evolved from Judaism but has Christianity evolved further than Islam? And do you think Catholicism is closer to Judaism than Protestantism? This would make sense, right, I mean, Protestantism evolved from Catholicism so Catholicism should be closer to the evolutionary branch (Judaism) than the more evolved Protestantism? And one more question, do you think talking about an evolutionary process like this will help religious people come to a better understanding of evolution?
